Delwyn Latham joined Moran Equipment as Chief Engineer in 2018. In this role, he leads the Quality Control and focuses on keeping the organization running efficiently and safely.
Delwyn grew up on a farm in Dodd, TX. He was an Electrical Power Company Lineman, where he was very adamant about safety. He worked to create a culture that embodied an atmosphere of “error on the side of caution.” This enabled everyone to work safely and go home safe, every day. As a Lineman, communication was the key, whether by starting with a “tailboard” before a job/project, working on the pole, using the radio, or attending meetings. This extensive training created an instinct to discuss questions or concerns at the various stages of the project, to be sure everyone is on the same page. This safety-conscious outlook is the lens through which Delwyn approaches engineering in the Oil and Gas Industry.
As QC Manager and Chief Engineer, Delwyn leads the way to ensure Moran Equipment is always creating safe designs and safe practices during manufacturing—from conception to completion of a project. This promotes a peace of mind for our customers and confidence in the product that they are receiving.
Delwyn earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2012. He married his beautiful wife in March of 2018 and left his position as Manager of Engineering at an Electric Distribution Power Company, a Cooperative in West Texas, to join the Moran Equipment team. Delwyn and his wife and kids enjoy living and working in Elk City.
